Our Story

From a humble small restaurant in Koolivayal, a small town in Wayanad, to a beloved family restaurant in Meppadi — Winbay’s story is built on dreams, brotherhood, and an unbreakable bond with our roots.

Our journey began decades ago with Hotel Fayis in 1988, a small eatery run by our grandparents. After years of hard work overseas, three brothers — fueled by memories, love, and a shared dream — returned home to bring their passion for food back to life. In 2018, they took over the restaurant once known as MRR, giving it new life, a new heart, and a new name: Winbay Family Restaurant.

Through every challenge, the brothers stood side by side — loyal, loving, and determined — always keeping one promise alive: to serve delicious food with honesty and heart. Today, as their children step in to carry the legacy forward, Winbay is more than just a restaurant. It’s a living story of family, flavor, and the spirit of Wayanad.
